چکیده

Purpose: The aimed witch of this study was to evaluate the chemical changes in soil cultivated with Panicum maximum cv. Mombaça grass, when submitted application different doses dairy effluent (ARL), sodium as a limiting factor.

Method/design/approach: Was applied ARL an area grass order provide at concentrations 75, 150, 300 and 600 Kg ha-1. Soil samples were collected depths times, having determined active acidity (pH) phosphorus (P), potassium (K), organic matter (MO) cation capacity (CTC).
Results conclusion: Regarding initial conditions, pH, MO CTC Did not show significant Variations. However, there are reductions P increases K concentration. For Environmental Conservation, providing kg ha-1 year-1 may become Recommendation for treatment reuse these effluents, relation did variations. environmental conservation, recommendation effluents.
Research implications: In relevant literature, technical that restricts effluents 150 sodium, halophyte cultures, has been used interchangeably, making it difficult use effluent. research concluded can be fertigation rate up ha-1sodium.
Originality/value: This indicates increase amount delivered through effluents.

Alterations in physico-chemical characteristics of soil after irrigation with Paper mill effluent

The effect of paper mill effluent on the physico-chemical properties of soils was studied under natural environment in pots experiment. The soil was treated to six rates of effluent viz. 5, 10 25, 50, 75 and 100 ml/Kg soil. The physico-chemical properties of the soil were determined before and at the end of the experiment, 12 weeks after irrigation with the effluent. Results revealed that among...

Impact of pulp and paper mill effluent on physico-chemical properties of soil

Water requirement to meet agriculture, domestic, industrial and other demands indicate the need for regeneration of waste water. Industrial waste water is being used in dry areas. Waste water of pulp and paper industry (brown with unpleasant smell) is usually alkaline in nature, has high suspended solids, total solids, COD, BOD and toxic odorous substances. It was observed in the study areas th...

Physico-Chemical Treatment Of Wool Scouring Effluent

The proposed procedure to produce low polluting effluent consists of a combination of coagulation-flocculation and membrane separation process. The main role of the coagulation-flocculation process is the simultaneous enhancement of removal efficiency and increase the permeate flux by minimizing the membrane fouling. Membrane fouling has a significant impact on the cost, design, and operation o...
